Chef and author Suzanne Goin will join Los Angeles Times food editor and columnist Russ Parsons to discuss Goin’s new book “The A.O.C. Cookbook” on Wednesday at the William Turner Gallery in Santa Monica.

Highlights from the book include recipes for her bacon-wrapped dates with Parmesan, duck sausage with candied kumquats, and dandelion and roasted carrot salad with black olives and ricotta salata.

Goin’s restaurants include A.O.C., Lucques, Tavern, the Larder at Maple Drive, the Larder at Burton Way and the soon to open Larder at Tavern at the Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX.

Goin’s first book, “Sunday Suppers at Lucques”, featuring recipes from Lucques, her first restaurant, earned her a James Beard Award.

Parsons, who has been writing about food for more than 25 years, has also authored two cookbooks. His book “How to Read a French Fry,” was a finalist for two Julia Child cookbook awards. His other book, “How to Pick a Peach,” was named one of the best 100 books of the year by Amazon and by Publisher’s Weekly.

The talk will take place at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 for general admission, $45 for a reserved seat and a copy of “The A.O.C. Cookbook” and $95 for a copy of the book, a reserved seat and admission to a pre-event reception from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Doors open for general admission at 7 p.m.
