Jessica Demorest had two goals and an assist, Kendra Davidson had two goals and goalkeeper Lauren Danjoi made six saves en route to a shutout as St. Margaret’s (1-0) defeated Santa Ana Calvary Chapel in a season opener for both teams. Nicole Sady-Kennedy and Marisa Yanez each scored once and Jamie Schiffer also had two assists for St. Margaret’s, which got one assist from Adrienne Baker.
Jessica Poulsen had seven saves in goal for Santa Ana Calvary Chapel.
Temescal Canyon 1, King 1
Senior goalie Kelly DeChristopher made seven of her nine saves in the first half and Kylie McCormick scored on a free kick for visiting Temescal Canyon (0-0-1). King (0-0-1) scored on a penalty kick with in the 77th minute to tie the game.
Tesoro 2, Trabuco Hills 0
Nicole Romanowski scored in the 29th minute and Kylie Wright scored in injury time at the end of the first half for Tesoro (1-0) in a victory at Trabuco Hills (0-1).Emily Hart and Tiffanie Hand combined for five saves to record a shutout despite the fact that Trabuco Hills outshot Tesoro, 5-4.
Viewpoint 2, Crossroads 0
Freshman midfielder Farah Samarri scored both goals with both assists from fellow freshman midfielder Morgan Steinberg for host Viewpoint (1-0) at Pierce College. Crossroads is 0-1.
Walnut 2, Claremont 1
Stephanie Sandino scored the decisive goal with an assist from Jen Tan in the 55th minute as Walnut defeated Claremont in a season opener for both teams.
Lauren Marquez scored the Mustangs’ first goal with an assist by Janessa Currier in the 25th minute, and Walnut goalkeepers Tiffany Chada and Amanda West combined for five saves. West surrendered the goal to Claremont in the second half.
Claremont goalie Courtney Ford made 10 saves.
Westridge 4, Immaculate Heart 2
Imaan Issa of Westridge (1-0) scored two goals and had an assist against visiting Immaculate Heart (0-1). Freshman Rein Addis had three assists for Westridge.

Rachel Newell scored the game-tying goal on a header in the 36th minute with the assist from Keri Thrush for host Dana Hills. Jennifer Jimenez scored in the 25th minute for Irvine in the season opener for both teams.

Freshman Katherine Orellana had three goals, all in the first 10 minutes, freshman Britney Vance added a goal and an assist and senior Jennifer Lara also scored for host Downey, which led, 5-1, at halftime. Victoria Cerda scored for Cerritos.
Flintridge Prep 2, Burbank 1
Coco Kleinert the go-ahead and game-tying goals with both assists coming from Lisa Freidman for visiting Flintridge Prep (1-0).
L.A. Hamilton 10, Birmingham 0
Cindy Flores recorded a hat trick for the Yankees (1-0) in a season-opening victory at Birmingham (0-1).
Malibu 4, Windward 3
Nicole Bernet scored two goals and Julia Cummings added another for Windward in the season-opening loss.
Orange 6, Los Amigos 0
Senior Alma Marcelo had three goals and three assists for the host Panthers (1-0). Los Amigos is 0-1.
Rancho Alamitos 2, Oxford Academy 1
Brittany Holt scored the go-ahead goal and Sabrina Rodriguez also scored to lead host Rancho Alamitos (1-0) over Oxford Academy (0-1).

Alice Kong scored in the 60th minute and goalkeeper Brooke Gauvin had four saves for host Valencia (1-0). Oaks Christian is 0-1.
