EL SEGUNDO
Championship
San Pedro 5, El Segundo 1
Junior right-hander Taylor Petty of San Pedro (25-1) allowed only two hits and one unearned run and had 16 strikeouts to improve her record to 17-2 with 211 strikeouts. Vanessa Samudio, Katelyn Oro and Brittney Banania each had two hits and one RBI for the Pirates. El Segundo is now 17-7.
Third Place
Santa Monica 2, North Torrance 0
Fifth Place
Placentia Valencia 4, Harvard-Westlake 3
Izzy Heller went one for three with two RBIs and a run scored for Harvard-Westlake (14-11) at Recreation Park in a game that was rained out in April.
Championship Semifinals
San Pedro 8, North Torrance (5 innings)
Taylor Petty of San Pedro gave up just one hit and struck out six. Perelini Koria, Korin Cuico and Hannah DeGadtano each had a home run for San Pedro.
Fifth-Place Semifinals
Harvard-Westlake 4, Paramount 1
Julie Fernandez went two for three with a run scored and a RBI and Lucy Jackson went two for two with a double and a run scored for Harvard-Westlake. Deena Margolin (7-2) allowed three hits and struck out five in the win.

EASTERN LEAGUE
Garfield 5, Southeast 1
Karina Garcia pitched the whole game was two for two to lead Garfield (17-7, 9-3) in a win that clinches a tie for league champion with Southwest (9-3).
VALLEY MISSION LEAGUE
Granada Hills Kennedy 19, Monroe 0 (5 innings)
Crystal Meraz went three for three with two home runs -- including a third-inning grand slam -- and six RBIs and Jackie Villafana went four for four with five RBIs and two home runs for host Kennedy (20-10, 9-1), which finished the regular season as co-league champs with Sylmar. Monroe fell to 3-10 overall.
WESTERN LEAGUE
Fairfax 7, Palisades 4
Nashla Lagos went two for four with a triple, two runs scored, and an RBI for visiting Fairfax (16-6, 8-4). Lagos also earned the win, allowing two hits and striking out 10.
Venice 6, L.A. Hamilton 3
Gabrielle Dominguez improved her record to 8-0, pitching a five-hitter for the visiting Gondoliers (17-3, 11-1). Sandra McCaw was two for four with two doubles and two RBIs and Georgie Dominguez was two for four and scored two runs.

Granada Hills Kennedy 1, Agoura 0
Julie Martinez pitched a one-hitter, striking out 13, to improve her record to 13-5 for the Golden Cougars (19-10). Crystal Meraz, who was two for two, singled home Tori Chiodo with two outs in the first inning for the game’s only run.
