Vladimir Putin: In the Sept. 20 Section A, an article about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s growing role on the global stage said he would address the United Nations General Assembly on Friday. The Russian government said on Aug. 29 that Putin would not attend the gathering. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is scheduled to address the group Friday.
