Republican campaign: In some editions of the Jan. 13 Section A, an article about attacks on Mitt Romney’s career at Bain Capital said that a “super PAC” supporting Newt Gingrich is running ads directing voters to a film that condemns Romney’s actions at Bain by focusing on four companies the firm acquired more than two decades ago. It should have said Bain acquired the companies at least a decade ago.

Billboard charts: In the Jan. 13 Calendar section, an article about changes to the Billboard charts, in which albums that are sold for less than $3.49 are not included, said that the price point was chosen because it is about half the retail cost of an album. The $3.49 price is about half the wholesale cost of an album.
