Earthquake: 3.0 quake strikes near Mammoth Lakes
A shallow magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported Sunday afternoon one mile from Mammoth Lakes, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 12:32 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 4.3 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 69 miles from Clovis, Calif., and 76 miles from Fresno.
In the past 10 days, there have been two earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
