Earthquake: 3.2 quake strikes near Gilroy
A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Sunday afternoon five miles from Gilroy, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 2:47 p.m. PST at a depth of 1.9 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was nine miles from Hollister, 14 miles from Morgan Hill and 16 miles from Watsonville.
In the past 10 days, there have been three earthquakes magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
