Earthquake: 3.3 quake strikes near Lone Pine
A shallow magnitude 3.3 earthquake was reported Wednesday evening 31 miles from Lone Pine, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 6:15 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 0 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 41 miles from Ridgecrest, 53 miles from Porterville, 57 miles from Lindsay and 227 miles from Carson City, Nev.
In the past 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
