Earthquake: 3.8 quake strikes near Inyokern, Calif.
A shallow magnitude 3.8 earthquake was reported Monday morning 25 miles from Inyokern, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 12:32 a.m. PDT at a depth of 0.6 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 27 miles from Ridgecrest, Calif., 62 miles from California City, Calif., and 69 miles from Porterville, Calif.
In the past 10 days, there have been two earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
