Earthquake: 4.3 quake strikes near Lake Isabella in Kern County
A shallow magnitude 4.3 earthquake was reported Saturday morning eight miles from Bodfish, Calif., near Lake Isabella in Kern County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 5:15 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 3.1 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was about 25 miles east of Bakersfield.
In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
