Earthquake: 3.4 quake strikes near Templeton
A shallow magnitude 3.4 earthquake was reported Thursday night four miles from Templeton, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 8:12 p.m. PST at a depth of 1.9 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was seven miles from Atascadero, seven miles from Paso Robles and 12 miles from Morro Bay.
In the last 10 days, there has been one earthquake of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
