Deputies say deadly shooting in Carson may be gang-related
The fatal Saturday morning shooting of a man outside a Carson party is believed to be gang-related, authorities said.
The slaying of the unidentified man took place in the 2700 block of East 220th Street about 3 a.m. Saturday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement. Deputies responding to a 911 call of shots fired found the victim in front of the home with at least one gunshot wound.

The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, said Deputy Juanita Navarro-Suarez.
During their investigation, deputies found that rival gang members were at the party, but there was no information available about what led to the shooting.
Over the last year, there have been no homicides within a mile of where Saturday’s shooting occurred, according to The Times’ Homicide Report.
