All lanes of 110 Freeway reopened after multi-vehicle collison
A multi-vehicle collision on the 110 Freeway near Carson left 14 people injured, two of them critically, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. Sunday on the northbound lanes of the freeway near 223rd Street, a spokeswoman for the California Highway Patrol said.
By 11 a.m., all northbound lanes had been reopened. For a time, only one lane was open to traffic during the cleanup and investigation.
Among the vehicles involved in the crash were a motorcycle and catering truck that was overturned.
The CHP was still unsure how the crash occurred and has impounded 11 vehicles to help determine whether the cause was possibly mechanical.
