Police at Cal State Long Beach are warning students and staff about a man who appeared on campus twice last week and was reportedly found sleeping in a women’s restroom.
Ion Sirius Ghahreman, 27, followed a male student to campus on Sept. 16 after they rode the same bus, university police said in a crime bulletin. Ghahreman, who is not a student and does not work on campus, then sat next to the student in class.

University police escorted him off campus and told him to stay off university ground for seven days, according to the crime bulletin.

Two days later, Ghahreman was found sleeping in a women’s restroom on campus. University police arrested Ghahreman, who was later arrested by Long Beach police for trespassing.

Ghahreman was booked into the Long Beach Police Department jail and released Monday on $5,000 bail, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department online inmate records.

University police say Ghahreman “is not affiliated with CSULB” and ask that anyone who sees him on campus call authorities.
