Ex-Rialto school board president arrested in child porn case
A former Rialto School Board president was arrested at his home Tuesday after authorities allegedly discovered child pornography on his home computer.
Daniel Lee Mays, 65, was taken into custody after bringing his computer to a repair shop where a technician allegedly discovered the child pornography.
“The children appear to be between 5 and 12 years old,” said Rialto police Sgt. Richard Royce.
A search of Mays’ home uncovered additional images of child porn on hard drives and computer discs, Royce said.
Mays served on the school board from 1999 to 2008, according to police.
He was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
