A 28-year-old high school teacher pursued relationships with underage students by plying them with gifts, including a trip to Disneyland for one student and for another, a rendezvous at a hotel, prosecutors allege.

Michelle Yeh, who is no longer a teacher, was charged Tuesday with several felonies involving two underage males including four counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor under 16; two counts of oral copulation of a minor; and two counts of lewd acts on a child 15 years of age, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.

Yeh, who worked as a substitute teacher at San Pedro High School, also faces three misdemeanor counts of child molestation involving two other underage males, prosecutors said.

None of the alleged victims has been publicly identified.

In February, Yeh took on a temporary teaching assignment at the high school’s science department, prosecutors said. After the academic year concluded, she reached out to a 15-year-old student for a private meeting, according to LAPD detectives.

That student reported the abuse last month, leading to Yeh’s arrest on July 17, according to jail records. She was released after posting $100,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on the additional charges.

If convicted, Yeh faces up to nine years, eight months in prison.
