Jenna Jameson’s court date set in Newport Beach battery
Former porn star Jenna Jameson is scheduled to make an initial court appearance May 17 for allegedly attacking a woman, Newport Beach police said Monday.
Jameson, 38, was arrested Saturday evening at a home in the 100 block of 36th Street on Balboa Peninsula after a person said the adult-film mogul attacked her.
The one-time “queen of porn” was later released on her own recognizance. Orange County prosecutors have not yet received the case to assign an arraignment date if she were charged.
On Twitter, Jameson gave a significantly different account of the incident. She claimed a friend broke into her house and robbed her.
The arrest was the second in less than a year for Jameson. Last May, she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after her Range Rover struck a light pole in Westminster.
In that incident, Jameson, whose real name is Jenna Marie Massoli, was charged with three misdemeanor counts -- driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, having a blood-alcohol level over the state legal limit and driving with a suspended license. [Updated at 3:25 p.m.: Jameson pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of DUI and was sentenced to three years of informal probation, court records show.]
