Son, 19, of man and woman found dead in mansion is arrested
The 19-year-old son of a San Juan Capistrano man and woman found shot to death in their mansion has been arrested in connection with the slayings, authorities said Friday.
The shooting in early February also left an 8-year-old boy seriously wounded.
Orange County sheriff’s officials are set to release details on the case and the arrest of Ashton Sachs at a news conference Thursday afternoon.
Bradford Hans Sachs, 57, and his former wife, Andra Resa Sachs, 54, were found shot to death Feb. 9 in their San Juan Capistrano home, located in an upscale neighborhood.
Authorities said the 8-year-old, believed to be the man and woman’s son, and two older girls were in the house when the 2 a.m. shooting took place. Neither of the girls was injured.
Neighbors said the Sachses, who were divorced but continued to live together, were pleasant and outgoing. Business associates, however, said the two were tough to work with and secretive.
