Teen boy killed, 3 others injured in drive-by shooting at house party
A 15-year-old boy was killed and three others were injured early Sunday during a drive-by shooting at a house party in Northern California, authorities said.
Detectives arrived about 12 a.m. to the house in Windsor to find the boy, whose identity had yet to be released Monday, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department.
Another teen and two adults were also struck by the gunfire in their legs and hands, authorities said. All four were taken to a nearby hospital, where the boy died of his injuries.
Authorities said the house party was attended mostly by teens when the shooting occurred.
It was not immediately clear if the shooting was gang-related.
The alleged shooter was described as a male wearing a black shirt and sweats, authorities said. He was seen fleeing the area in a blue Nissan that was driven by a woman.
Anyone with details about the shooting was urged to call Det. Gary Freitas at (707) 565-2185.
