26 businesses in Highland Park without water service after main break
A water main break in Highland Park left more than two dozen businesses without service Thursday morning, officials said.
The 6-inch main broke shortly before 2 a.m. in the 5300 block of York Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.
The break shut off service to 26 businesses and prompted crews to close York Boulevard between Avenues 53 and 54. It was not immediately known why the main broke.
York Avenue was reopened after service was restored by early afternoon, LADWP tweeted around 1:15 p.m.
