Torso found in San Francisco Bay may be that of missing woman
The torso of a woman was found in the San Francisco Bay, and police are investigating whether it’s linked to the case of a missing woman.
People fishing discovered the torso over the weekend near the Dumbarton Bridge. KPIX-TV reported the woman’s arms, legs and head appeared to have been severed from the torso and had not been located.
On Wednesday, police said the case might be linked to the disappearance of Shelly Titchener, 57. She was reported missing by her husband earlier this month after she said she was going to see a friend.
NBC Bay Area reported police searched her home but said they had not made a direct link between the two cases.
