Reader photo: Low tide at Venice Pier

Eric Lassiter photographed beachgoers near Venice Pier at low tide on Jan. 5. He was underneath the pier watching passersby when the pregnant woman caught his eye. The man with the cane is a regular in this area and comes by to feed the seagulls, Lassiter said.
