Reader Photo: Between the stems
On an evening hike at the Summitridge Park Trail in Diamond Bar, Joann De La Ossa captured this image while crouching between the plant stems. For the last two decades, she has chosen to look at the world from a different perspective.
“I’m a two-time cancer survivor, so I’ve learned to see life through a different set of eyes since 1998,” she said. “I encourage everyone to think the same way.”
For hikes and beach trips, De La Ossa always has her iPhone in hand for photos. She says it helps her to stop and appreciate the beauty around her.
“There is beauty even among the weeds,” she said.
De La Ossa made this image using an iPhone 6 on June 12.
