Creepy ‘Twilight’ doll was to be Bella’s baby [VIDEO]
Here’s some post-Halloween fun. A new video has emerged online of a creepy “Twilight” doll that was intended to be the half-vampire, half-human spawn of Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson).
The “Twilight Forever: The Complete Saga,” available Tuesday on Blu-ray and DVD, has bonus footage of Renesmee as an animatronic baby.
The doll looked so disturbing, the cast and crew dubbed it “Chuckesmee,” for its likeness to knife-wielding horror staple Chucky.
In the 80-second clip, producer Wyck Godfrey calls “Chuckesmee” the “one of the most grotesque animatronic babies ever to not be seen on film.”
Nikki Reed is also seen bumbling with the 60-pound baby. “I’ve got two men sitting below me doing puppet stuff with the hands and one guy pokes me in the eye,” she said. “It’s really difficult for me.”
“You’re trying to create something that’s otherworldly with Renesmee,” said Godfrey, adding that “The second you’re holding it up you realize this is never going to work. No fake thing is ever going to do the trick.”
For “Twilight’s” fifth and final installment “Breaking Dawn Part 2,” director Bill Condon cut Chuckesmee, opting to youngify actress Mackenzie Foy through CGI for the “otherwordly” effect.
