A body believed to be that of “August: Osage County” and “Django Unchained” actress Misty Upham was found at the bottom of an embankment in Washington state, police said Thursday.
Upham, who was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for her performance in 2008’s “Frozen River,” was reported missing by her father Oct. 6 in Auburn, a suburb of Seattle, police said.
The body, which has not been positively identified, was located around 1 p.m. at the bottom of a 150-foot embankment near the White River, Auburn police said in a statement. A family member made the discovery, police said.
A purse with Upham’s ID was found near the body, police said. A possible cause of death was not given.
The 32-year-old Native American actress has had roles since 2002 in multiple movies and TV shows, according to IMDB.
