Dump truck crashes into school bus; 1 child dead, others injured
One child was killed and several more were injured after a dump truck crashed into a school bus near Boise, Idaho, on Thursday morning, according to media reports.
A local sheriff told the Associated Press that at least four children were injured.
The crash reportedly happened south of the city of Nampa.
KTVB-TV, citing local school officials, reported that the bus belonged to the Kuna School District and was headed to Crimson Point Elementary.
A spokesman for the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office declined to comment, saying the Idaho State Police were handling the crash.
A spokeswoman for the Idaho State Police could not be immediately be reached for comment.
KTVB-TV reported that two injured children were taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise and two more were taken to Saint Alphonsus in Nampa.
