Man, 2 children found dead in home at Ft. Hood, Texas
HOUSTON -- A man and two children were found dead Tuesday at a home at Ft. Hood in Texas.
The bodies were discovered about 7:15 a.m. at Ft. Hood, a sprawling U.S. Army base about 70 miles north of Austin, according to a statement released by a Ft. Hood spokesman.
“There is no further threat to the community at this time,” the statement said.
Ft. Hood officials declined to release additional information until next of kin are notified of the deaths. They said the deaths are being investigated by special agents with the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command.
Chris Grey, a spokesman for that agency, based in Quantico, Va., said they were not releasing any information about the case Tuesday, “to protect the integrity of the investigative process.”
