Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has stolen your seat. What do you do?

It’s a packed football stadium. He’s eating wings. He’s famous for his foul mouth, his ability to move quickly despite his large frame, and his admitted use of crack.

Would you be a little nervous? Canadian musician Matt Mays tweeted that the controversial city official, the man who has virtually no filter when talking to the news media, had taken his seat at Sunday’s Buffalo Bills game.

The Bills played Atlanta. Ford was there in his blue Bills jersey. There were four Toronto police officers and stadium security nearby, according to the Associated Press. Security was fending off those looking for a handshake or a selfie with the mayor.

Mays’ series of tweets is amusing. (See below.) “I gotta kick him out right?”

Some doubted that the incident occurred. One tweeter called Mays a wimp, another said the media were gullible. Did Ford really steal the singer-songwriter’s seat? Mays hasn’t yet responded to a query from the L.A. Times. He seemed to want to move past the Ford stolen-seat ordeal.

Ford may have plans to attend the NHL Winter Classic outdoor game between the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs in Michigan on New Year’s Day. The Wire says if you have a ticket, avoid any problems by arriving early, and never leave your assigned seat.

And if you do have trouble, Mays would likely advise that you don’t tweet it.
