Letters: Rocks vs. bullets at the border
Re “Killings at border draw scrutiny,” Oct. 18
It’s hard to comprehend that our Border Patrol agents fire live ammunition at rock throwers, sometimes with deadly consequences.
One solution would be to have agents be required to carry two weapons: one weapon loaded with live rounds, the other with rubber bullets. The guards could then protect themselves while having the option of repelling rock attacks with less-than-deadly force.
