Readers React: What about the homeless?
To the editor: While the City Council is considering $180 million in subsidies to downtown hotel projects, we have homeless people living in their vehicles. Here’s an idea: Let’s require the hotel builders to build some homeless shelters in return for the subsidies. ( “L.A. is considering financial help for hotel projects,” June 24)
