Opinion: Phyllis Schafly told women to stay home, then went to law school
To the editor: The indefatigable and rarely home “housewife” Phyllis Schlafly can now be enshrined as the patron saint of that good old American tradition — the professional hypocrite.

To the editor: At a time when women were rapidly moving into the workplace, Schafly found her niche, stoking insecurities of stay-at-home moms. She told women to stay home, she went law school and became the voice of those fearful of progress. Daughters: Read about this person; she is what your mothers had to fight.
