Michael Cohen, once among President Trump’s most ardent defenders, blasted his former boss as a “racist,” a “con man” and a “cheat” in congressional testimony Wednesday as he detailed inappropriate and possibly illegal conduct from the campaign to the White House.
“I am ashamed of my weakness and misplaced loyalty — of the things I did for Mr. Trump in an effort to protect and promote him,” Cohen said in his opening statement to the House Oversight Committee.
