Reality show star Michaele Salahi crashes a new party

Move over Rebecca Black.

After becoming famous—or is that notorious?—for allegedly sneaking into a White House state dinner, Michaele Salahi is crashing another party, the music industry. She’s releasing a dance-pop single this week, “Bump It,” recorded in Los Angeles earlier this month. (Yes, we realize it’s only May 10.)

We’ll let the D.C. socialite, a star of the recently canceled “Real Housewives of D.C.” on Bravo, take it from here.

“I am so excited with my first single! It’s an amazing dance song, and it highlights the party animal in everyone!” Salahi said in a press release. “I titled the song ‘Bump It’ because I love dancing and bumping it on the dance floor! I got so caught up with the rhythm, that my music just feels like a magical prism.”

Salahi claims she was inspired to launch a recording career after Oprah Winfrey praised her voice during President Obama’s inauguration more than two years ago.

Although, listening to a sneak preview of the track at RADAR online, it’s hard to make out Salahi’s voice, which appears to have been cross-pollinated with HAL 9000. You can listen for yourself here:

Fans or other interested parties can have the single for free if they download Salahi’s app. (Everybody has an app these days. ) Otherwise it will be available on iTunes on May 12.
