Deadlines and results
The polls have closed in California. All mailed ballots need to be postmarked on or before that date. Mail-in, provisional and conditional ballots will be accepted, processed and counted for several days after election day. The data on this page will update periodically until all results are in.
We’re tracking races across Orange County. All county and city primary results will appear below, including those for school boards and local measures. For congressional races, see the statewide results.
Initial results are expected shortly after the polls close at 8 p.m.
Every registered voter in the state receives a ballot by mail. To vote by mail, these ballots must be postmarked by March 5. They may take several days to process. Results from provisional and conditional ballots also take longer, and will be added to the tally once they are cleared.

Huntington Beach Measure A
To amend the city charter to require voter ID, more polling locations, ballot drop box monitoring and other election-related changes
Huntington Beach Measure B
To amend the city charter to limit which flags may be displayed on city property
Huntington Beach Measure C
To amend the city charter to require the city to adopt 2-year budgets; to change City Council procedures for canceling meetings and filling vacancies; and to update outdated language and dates in the charter
Irvine Measure D
To amend the city charter to expand the City Council from 5 to 7 members, and to establish City Council districts in place of at-large representation
Westminster Measure E
To enact a 0.5% sales tax in addition to the city's existing sales tax, for public safety and services
