This cairn terrier mix may look familiar, because Toto in “The Wizard of Oz” was the same breed. Although Margo arrived as a stray, she is probably not from Kansas. Cairns are good pals, loving and smart.

Margo’s slim legs appear delicate, but she is surprisingly sturdy and and welcomes exercise. Her coat is naturally shaggy, although the photo apparently caught her on a bad hair day.

Cairns shed little but do require regular brushing and some grooming. Margo is spayed, house-trained and healthy, aside from a skin condition that may require an inexpensive topical spray. At 4 years old, she is a youngster in a long-lived breed. Quiet and well-behaved in her kennel, Margo patiently awaits her new home.
