Emotional intelligence is focus of Coffee Break
Author Jorge Cherbosque will discuss emotional intelligence, the ability to monitor one’s own and other people’s emotions, at Wednesday’s PTA Coffee Break session.
Cherbosque is a clinical and industrial psychologist and a recognized authority in the fields of emotional intelligence, self-development and diversity.
He will discuss how emotional intelligence can help people understand the communication style of family members, develop empathy and listening skills, and gain knowledge about effective ways to manage anger and conflict.
The session will be held from 8:15 to 10 a.m. at Top of the World Elementary School, 21601 Tree Top Lane, Laguna Beach. Admission is a suggested $5 donation. Coffee and pastries will be served.
