These days, the view is pretty nice from where Ryan Getzlaf is sitting.

The Anaheim Ducks captain and center, whose team enters the playoffs atop the Western Conference standings, has purchased an ocean-view home in Corona del Mar for $6.1 million.

Located within the Cameo Shores enclave, the Traditional-style home has 5,200 square feet of space with a study/den, a family room with a wet bar, four bedrooms and five bathrooms. The master bedroom, breakfast nook, living room and formal dining room take in unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean.

French doors open to an inner courtyard with a pool and raised spa. Elsewhere, an ocean-facing terrace extends off of the home’s main level.

The property came on the market in August with an asking price of $6.25 million, records show. Summer Perry of Surterre Properties was the listing agent. Rob Smith, also of Surterre Properties, represented Getzlaf and his wife, Paige, in the sale, which closed in early March.

Getzlaf, three times an all-star, has spent his entire career with the Ducks. He was part of the team’s Stanley Cup run in 2007 and has twice won Olympic gold medals with the Canadian national team (2010, 2014).

The 29-year-old, who owns other property in Orange County, is currently in the second year of a $66-million contract extension he signed with the team in 2013.
