Global Vantage, a new international company specializing in a wide

range of financial services, announced Corona del Mar resident Frank

Limbaugh has been named as a principal. He had been with Deutsche

Financial Services since 1987 and served as president of the technology

division. His duties included creating and developing key relationships

with major technological corporations to finance inventories and other

users. He has also put together successful alliances with such major

companies as Inacom, Ingram Micro, MicroAge, TechData, Cisco,

Hewlett-Packard and Compaq. Limbaugh graduated from Claremont Graduate

University and earned a master’s degree from Peter Drucker School of

Management. Global Vantage is headquartered in Newport Beach ... Orange

Coast College’s two-time defending state champion speech and debate team

finished second out of 35 schools earlier this month at the Fall

Championships Tournament held at Cal State Long Beach. The Pirates will

compete in one tournament over the winter break and begin the spring

season in January. The team was second in the nation last year. Local

team members include Adam Navarro, Melissa Jenkin, Dan Culbert, Nick

Saia, Heidi Mueller and Angel Correa, all of Costa Mesa ... Barbara

Wallace of Corona del Mar has completed the second phase of an

educational program on the wedding business and has been designated as an

accredited bridal consultant. She operates Barbara Wallace Weddings in

Corona del Mar and is a member of the Assn. of Bridal Consultants.

Wallace is one of four accredited bridal consultants in California and

one of 42 in the world ... Orange Coast College collected 3,100 gifts for

needy and abused Orange County children during its recent 16th annual

Angel Tree Project, sponsored by OCC’s Associated Students College Life

Office. The gifts were valued at more than $20,000, and ranged in price

from $1 to $200 each. Donations were accepted on campus between Nov. 20

and Dec. 8. Gifts included dolls, sports toys, books, games and clothes.

The gifts will be given to several Orange County human services agencies.
