NEWPORT BEACH

* Balboa Boulevard and 13th Street: Police arrested a man at 12:50

p.m. Sunday on suspicion of carrying a loaded firearm in a public place.

* Campus Drive: Police arrested a man in the 4500 block at 4:20 a.m.

Sunday on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

* Centerpoint and Jamboree Road: Police arrested a woman at 9:30 a.m.

Monday on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance.

* East Coast Highway: Police reported a car burglary in the 1600 block

between 6:30 p.m. and 9:40 p.m. Monday. A purse, bank cards, a checkbook,

keys and personal items worth $270 allegedly were stolen.

* Newport Center Drive: Police reported a car burglary in the 100

block between 2:45 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. Monday. A shirt worth $25

allegedly was stolen from the car.

* Superior Avenue and 16th Street: Police arrested a man at 8 a.m.

Monday on suspicion of possessing a hypodermic needle and syringe.

COSTA MESA

* Bristol Street: Vandalism in the 3300 block was reported at 12:36

a.m. Tuesday.

* Fountain Way: An assault in the 2200 block was reported at 9:10 a.m.

Monday.

* Harbor Boulevard: Police arrested a 43-year-old man suspected of

being drunk in public in the 2700 block at 11:17 p.m. Monday.

* Robin Hood Lane: A grand theft was reported in the 200 block at 4:07

p.m. Monday.

* West 19th Street: A 22-year-old man was arrested at 10:15 p.m.

Monday in the 500 block. His arrest was based on a outstanding warrant.
