Women’s basketball: Vanguard dominates Hope, 82-33

COSTA MESA - The Vanguard University women’s basketball team had

five Lions score in double figures as they cruised past Hope

International for an 82-33 Golden State Athletic Conference victory

Saturday.

Vanguard (13-5, 6-3 in conference) built a 40-14 halftime lead as the

Lions hit 16 of 29 from the field and 5 of 10 from behind the three-point

line.

Lions Kelly Boeke, Robbin Dittenbir and Becki Huddle each score 13

points and Beth Wiedler and Laura Lee finish with 10 points each. Huddle

also added six assists and Boeke grabbed nine rebounds.

Jamie Harrison led Hope (9-14, 0-9) with 12 points.
