Costa Mesa Mayor Libby Cowan is continuing the Costa Mesa Mayor’s

Award program established by former Mayor Gary Monahan.

The city is accepting nominations for the award, which will recognize

Costa Mesa youths who have displayed a particular leadership role in the

community, demonstrated responsibility and accountability in their daily

lives, volunteered in one or more community events in the last year or

have made a difference by performing an outstanding service or deed.

Nominations should include the name, address and telephone number of

the nominee; the name, address and telephone number of the nominator; and

a brief statement describing the reasons the nominee deserves

recognition.
