People love their pets and often make them a part of the family.

Sometimes that can lead to some embarrassing pet moments. Heck, have you

seen those dogs in dresses? Yeah, that’s what we’re talking about.

Well, what better way to capture those moments, whether plenty or few,

than by taking a photo? And, to enhance that undertaking, you can have

the Brentwood-based o7 https://www.photowow.comf7 Andy Warhol that

snapshot into artwork. That’s right, you can get that picture times four,

complete with kooky colors -- think Warhol’s Marilyn.

A few celebs -- Billy Crystal, Lisa Kudrow and Arnold Schwarzennegar

-- have indulged in the pieces so far. Takers can even add comic book

style wording if requested. Imagine the possibilities: “My owner gave me

this stupid dress” or “This is a doggone life; I wish I was human” or,

better yet, “I’m always with stupid.”

You might be a redneck if . . . you buy these cards

Greeting card maker American Greetings has enlisted the help of

“redneck” comedian Jeff Foxworthy to come up with, appropriately enough,

a series of redneck joke cards. For example, “You might be a redneck if .

. . when packing for a vacation, your biggest decision is whether to use

paper or plastic.”

Yes, as with dog art, the possibilities are endless. You may also be a

redneck if “You stare at a can of orange juice because it says

concentrate.” All 28 greeting cards (collect them while you can) will be

sold at -- drum roll, please -- Wal-Mart.

Available throughout the summer -- great for giving atbarbecues and

roadside road kill diners -- the cards will wish recipients happy

birthday, thank you, missing you, encouragement and romantic greetings.

But what does it say?

Evergreen Research of San Diego has come up with the insect repelling

BugButton. Simply wear it proud and, they say, it’ll save you from flies,

gnats, mosquitoes and other annoying insects for 60 to 70 hours.

Warning: The BugButton, which has a lemon fragrance to it, repels

annoying insects, not annoying parents and other characters. No word on

the lettering of the buttons and whether they will ever endorse local

council candidates. However, watch out for a few “Vote for Nader” buttons

that may be leftover from the 2000 Presidential campaign.
