FRANK J. CAMPA

Frank J. Campa, a Costa Mesa resident of 40 years, died June 28 of

brain cancer. He was 82.

A native of Mexico, Campa was born July 17, 1913. He worked at a Costa

Mesa upholstery shop.

Campa is survived by wife Maria Campa; sons Frank Campa Jr., Alex

Campa, Rolando Campa, Fernando Morales and David Campa; and daughters

Alma Romo, Terry Campa and Diana Campa.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today at Harbor Lawn, 1625 Gisler

Ave., Costa Mesa.

KATHERINE EVANS TURNER

Katherine Evans Turner, a resident of Newport Beach for more than 25

years, died Monday of breast cancer. She was 79.

Turner was born July 1, 1922, in Long Beach. In Newport Beach, Turner

was active in the Orange County Associates of the House Ear Institute as

a board member, as well as an organizer, of the Annual Celebrity Golf

Tournament. She and her husband were also longtime members of the Big

Canyon Golf Club and were donors to Hoag Hospital and the Boy Scouts of

America.

Turner is survived by husband John Turner, son Stephen Turner,

daughter Jan Hering, and grandchildren Field and Anne Turner and John and

Bren Hering.

Funeral arrangements will be private.
