Be surprised. “When in Doubt, Improvise” is the title of the music
program at 3 p.m. at the Newport Beach Central Library, 1000 Avocado Ave.
Pianist Rodger Whitten will feature improvised selections by Bach,
Schumann, Mozart, Rachmaninoff, Chopin and other classical composers.

Listen to the melody . The St. Petersburg String Quartet will perform
with Paul Galbraith, an award-winning guitarist and founding member of
the Brazilian Guitar Quartet, at 8 p.m. Monday at the Irvine Barclay
Theatre, 4242 Campus Drive, Irvine. The concert will include

Support the arts. The fall Newport Beach Artist Juried Exhibition will
remain up at Newport Beach City Hall through Jan. 7 at 3300 Newport
Blvd., Newport Beach. The exhibit features the work of 23 local artists.

WEDNESDAY
Get a glimpse into the world of O’Keefe. Todd Webb’s photographs of
famed painter Georgia O’Keefe will be on display through Jan. 2 at the
Orange County Museum of Art’s South Coast Plaza Gallery. The gallery,
3333 Bristol St., is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10
