BOATING FORECAST
Lots of fog on the inner waters this morning, with light wind. By the
afternoon, the winds will pick up out of the west to 10 to 15 knots,
producing waves at 2 feet. The swell, also out of the west, will be 4
feet.
It’s a different story in the deeper waters, where a hazardous seas
advisory has been issued. The strongest winds, about 20 knots, will be
northwest of San Nicolas Island. The swell from the northwest will cause
the problems at 8 feet.
SURF
More solid head-high surf, with good conditions and some hollow
sections. But the high tide is going to shut down most spots. Get in
early, pray there’s no fog and have fun. The combo northwest and
southwest should be best in West Newport.
