Briefly in the news
A Costa Mesa resident announced her decision Thursday to launch a
write-in campaign against Orange County Superior Court Judge Ronald
Kline, who was charged earlier this month with possessing child
pornography.
Gay Geiser-Sandoval said she had planned to seek judgeship during the
March elections, when four judges are expected to retire.
“This is going to be a tough campaign,” she said.
A write-in candidate’s name does not appear on the ballot, so voters
will have to remember to write her name and vote Kline out of office,
Geiser-Sandoval said.
She is now in private practice, mainly representing small-business
owners. She also sits as a judge pro tem, hearing small claims matters,
traffic trials and settlement conferences.
Geiser-Sandoval has also written a column for the Community Forum page
in the Daily Pilot called “Educationally Speaking.”
