Anteaters reach final
The UC Irvine women’s tennis team edged Nevada, 4-3, in the
semifinals of the fifth annual UCI Spring Invitational Monday at UCI.
The Anteaters (12-6) will battle UTEP for the title today at 9 a.m.
The Miners got past Cal Poly of San Luis Obispo, 4-3, in the other
semifinal Monday.
UCI received singles victories from Jonni Seymour, Anna Bentzer, Hui
Leow and Christie Posner to overcome the Wolfpack, which captured the
doubles point by winning 2 of 3.
UCI is ranked 57th nationally.
