Softball: Skaare blanks Tars, 3-0

players for Newport Harbor High’s softball team to collect base hits

Tuesday as the Sailors were shut out by Aliso Niguel junior Jessica

Skaare, 3-0, in a Sea View League opener at Aliso Niguel.

Gleason singled and walked, while Campbell singled against Skaare,

whose Wolverines entered at 2-12 overall. Newport Harbor, which fell to

13-3, hosts Irvine Thursday.

Skaare outdueled Newport Harbor pitcher Kim Moore (9-2).
