Prepare yourself for some more early morning low clouds followed by a
mostly sunny day. Highs will top out at about 70 in Costa Mesa and the
mid-60s in Newport Beach. The same will be encountered Friday.

BOATING FORECAST
Areas of dense fog will be found this morning. The westerly winds will
blow 10 to 15 knots in the inner waters this afternoon, with 2-foot waves
and a west swell of 3 to 5 feet. The same will be found tonight.
Out farther, the northwesterly winds will blow stronger at 20 to 30
knots this afternoon, with 3- to 5-foot waves and a northwest swell of 4
to 6 feet. Later, the northwesterly winds will ease a bit at 15 to 25
knots, with 2- to 4-foot waves and a northwest swell of 4 to 7 feet. Fog
will return late.
SURF
The southwest swell will keep us in the waist- to chest-high waves
today, though Friday’s looking smaller.
