Reward for razor blade information offered

Police are offering $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and
conviction of the person who scattered razor blades around a local
playground.
The Laguna Beach Police Department, in cooperation with a few
anonymous citizens and the Laguna Exchange Club, are offering a reward in
attempt to find whoever was responsible for the dangerous act at Lain
Beach.
“I was approached by the some citizens and the Exchange Club who
wanted to help,” said Sgt. Jason Kravetz.
Kravetz set up an account at a local bank called the Playground
Protection Reward Fund to aid the cause.
“We’re getting a ton of calls and sifting through the information,”
Kravetz said.
The fund is promoted by a community outraged by 17 razor blades found
around the playground equipment at Main Beach on April 27. No children
were injured.
People with information regarding the Laguna Beach case or any of the
incidents at Laguna Niguel, Mission Viejo and Foothill Ranch are urged to
call the anonymous tip line at (949) 497-7621.
